How It Works
Everything you need to know about DepthDecisions
Getting the Best Results
The more seriously you take this, the more valuable your results.
DepthDecisions uses AI to analyze your decision in the context of your values and life experience. The quality of the analysis depends entirely on the quality of your input.
When filling out text fields, provide as much context, detail, and honest reflection as possible. Vague or rushed answers lead to generic insights. Thoughtful, detailed answers lead to personalized guidance that can genuinely help you think through difficult choices.
Your Data and Privacy
Your responses are processed by Anthropic's Claude AI to generate personalized analysis. This means your worksheet answers and depth questions are sent to Anthropic's servers.
However, we've designed the system so your data is not linked to your identity:
- We use a random identifier (not your name or email) to associate your sessions
- Your data is stored separately from any identifying information
- Email collection is optional and stored separately from your responses
Anthropic processes your data according to their privacy policy. They do not use API data to train models.
Why Crypto for Payments?
When the paid version launches, we'll accept cryptocurrency as the primary payment method. Here's why:
Traditional payment processors link your identity to your data. When you pay with a credit card, the payment processor knows who you are and can connect that to what you purchased. This creates a paper trail linking your identity to your decision-making sessions.
Crypto separates payment from identity. With cryptocurrency, you can pay for the service without revealing who you are. Your decision analysis remains truly private.
This matters because the decisions you're working through here are often deeply personal—career changes, relationship questions, major life choices. You deserve to explore these without creating a permanent record tied to your name.
Why Not Regular Credit Card Payments?
We could accept credit cards, but doing so would undermine the privacy we're trying to protect:
- Payment processors require your real name and billing address
- Your bank statement shows you used DepthDecisions
- Data breaches could expose your payment history
- We'd need to store your personal information to process refunds
By using crypto, we don't need to know who you are, and neither does anyone else.
How to Get Crypto
If you're new to cryptocurrency, here are some beginner-friendly options:
- Coinbase — The most popular option in the US. Easy to use, but requires identity verification.
- Edge Wallet — A self-custody wallet that lets you buy crypto with more privacy.
- Exodus — Desktop and mobile wallet with built-in exchange features.
You'll only need a small amount—enough to cover the analysis you want. We'll provide specific instructions when payments are enabled.
